I buy antique and vintage linens at local estate sales to share them with
you. Right now I am trying to list items to bring you a smile during these
strange times. I've been collecting buttons for more than 20 years and have
decided that it's time to pass some along.
This collection of belt buckles, mounted on heavy card, was in with a
collection of vintage buttons. There are 14 belt buckles in all, made of white
metal; they are oval in shape measuring 1.5" long by 1.25" wide at their
centers. Each has a center bar. When I looked at them I thought they were set
with rhinestones, but a close inspection showed that they are hollowed, and
their shine comes from facets in the cavities. They have a lot of shine, and
they differ in metal tone with some looking more golden and some more silvery.
These would be great for display, or for use in making vintage fashions. They
probably date to the 40s or 50s, cheaply made but with a lot of look. Please
check my other listings too - I'm happy to combine items to save on shipping.
